VICTORIA ISD UNVEILS TARGETED PAY PLAN PROPOSAL AND 5/25 PLAN TO ADDRESS COMMUNITY CONCERNS

At the recent VISD board meeting held on March 21, 2024, a pivotal discussion unfolded, centered around the pressing needs of the community regarding teacher retention/staff pay and capital improvements to infrastructure. Presented to the trustees were two comprehensive plans aimed at tackling these critical issues head-on: the Targeted Pay Plan Proposal and the innovative 5/25 Plan.

CELEBRATING TRIUMPH: VICTORIA EAST HIGH SCHOOL'S TITAN DEBATE UIL STATE MEDALISTS

The esteemed VEHS Debate Team showcased their prowess at the prestigious UIL State CX Policy Debate Tournament, a storied event with roots dating back to 1918.

We are delighted to announce that the dynamic duo of East seniors, Diego Cuellar and Jack Yoast, not only participated with fervor but also advanced to the State Quarterfinal round, clinching a well-deserved State Medal.

Online Priority Registration will open from May 1 through May 31. Completing student registration by May 31st will help Save Your Seat at your zoned neighborhood campus.

In preparation for the Online Priority Registration, VISD is making efforts to ensure all registration components are seamless and accessible. To facilitate this process, we kindly request that parents and guardians ensure their child’s campus(es) have their most up-to-date email addresses.

Victoria ISD Board of Trustees Approves Renaming of Court in Honor of Educator and Coach Jan Lahodny

In recognition of her unparalleled impact on the game of basketball and the lives of countless individuals, the Board proudly approves the renaming of the court at the District Events Center in honor of the esteemed educator and coach, Jan Lahodny.
